Konichiwa Prints is an individually run publishing and ecommerce company. The owner self-publishes Japanese & English bilingual children’s books and creates & sells Japanese themed digital products (ex: greeting cards, educational material, posters, etc.)
About the Owner
Konnichiwa! I was born and raised in America but grew up in a household surrounded by the Japanese language and culture. My mother is Japanese and my father is American. Growing up I always wanted to buy books, greeting cards, posters, etc. that had both languages of Japanese and English incorporated into them. It was also my wish that these items would be accessible anywhere regardless of where you live. I like illustration, art, and creative mediums so after living in Japan for a few years, I took all of these desires into action and established a company where I could combine my two interests of Japanese & creativity into something that I can share with others. I translate everything myself (books, digital products, website, etc.), but have them checked by native Japanese for language accuracy. I hope that my books and digital prints can help spread joy and curiosity as I have felt while making them.
Bilingual Children Books
I illustrate and write Japanese/English Bilingual Books for toddlers and young children. Each book contains some sort of educational theme. I sometimes branch out and create Japanese themed workbooks and journals as well. In the future I would also like to publish pre-teen bilingual books.
Digital Products
My digital prints range from Japanese educational material for all ages, greeting cards, wall décor (mostly inspirational sayings), stationary and more.
